Upload reliability test plan and Driver IC datasheet. Thank you. |
Hi, FU-chiang Young Please refer to below request. 1. Consign: I think it may difficult to consign because we don't have any information. 2. You shall design to 1PCB with below construction - LP5036 x 2 + LP5024 x1 - LP5024 x 4 -AW21024 x 4 3. SoC detection method for different driver IC. 4. Implement plan is too long. What is your plan to buy TI component during implement. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi, Fu -chiang young The current LP5036(ch36) and the new AW21024(ch24) i2c address(0x30,0x33) are the same. Request HOW to SW check current LP5036(ch36) and the new AW21024(ch24)? Best regards jung |
Hi Sun, When LP5036 has been replaced to AW21024, the address can be used for new LED driver IC. This document is reviewed by SW team too. So we have considered the address collision issue Please see the attached file which is i2c table of AW21024 datasheet. Thank you. Thank you. |
Hi Lonnie, 2. You shall design to 1PCB with below construction - LP5036 x 2 + LP5024 x1 - LP5024 x 4 -AW21024 x 4 These 3 structures can not be exist at the same PCB. LP5024 X 4 structure has I2C collision issue with AMP IC. This needs to change I2C bus which needs to change main board. AW21024 x 4 structure can not exist with LP5024 X 4 structure due to different I2C bus selection on main board. No matter how to design to combine these 3 structures together, the PCB will be complicated not only for us, but also for VN. factory. Thank you. |
Hi, Fuchiang Young How about below option - LP5036 x 2 + LP5024 x1 - AW21036QNR x2 + AW21024 x1 AW21036 is pin compatible with IS31FL3236A and AW21024 is pin compatible with LP5024. COuld you consider AW21036? I can't get datasheet, so could you get it(AW21036 datasheet)? Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Here is the AW21036. The package is different with IS31FL3236A. TI5036 is different with AW21036. These three 36 channel driver IC are different package. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young I think AW21036 and IS31FL3236A has same size and pin assign. Which points is different? Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Sorry, I saw another package. AW21036 has QFN-44 package. Yes, they are the same with QFN-44 package. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young So, I think below 2 options can implement 1PCB. - LP5036 x 2 + LP5024 x1 - AW21036QNR x2 + AW21024 x1 How about your opinion? Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Update the proposal as - AW21036QNR x2 + AW21024 x1. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young As I commented above, 2 options need to implement 1 PCB. "So, I think below 2 options can implement 1PCB. - LP5036 x 2 + LP5024 x1 - AW21036QNR x2 + AW21024 x1" What is next step? Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, It may not implement into 1 pcb. Because different package(LP5036 vs AW21036), it is hard to co-layout. LP5024 vs AW21024 have the same package. We will ask layout team for co-layout to check if it can implement into 1 pcs or not. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young I think it enough to implement 1PCB. You shall not mount same position LP5036 and AW21036. It must be different position. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, We are considering for new LED board. We thought we need to separate into 2 pcb as one for TI and the other is for AWI. Because our factory needs to control different BOM(TI/AWI) and PCB part number. Also if we mount TI, AWI will not be mounted. Contrarily, we will mount AWI, TI will not to be mounted. Meanwhile, the I2C address is different between these 2 LED solutions, the image still needs to separate different version. How about above suggestions? Or could you please tell us the co-layout reason, let us to check if it is possible? For certification, maybe need extension product for SWAN soundbar. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young I think you should easily control different BOM and Common PCB(1 PCB). If you use different PCB, how do you if there are PCB stock issue. And, S/W must use unified version(1 SW) whether you use TI or Awinic. This is mandatory. So, I think you should design Common PCB(TI and Awinic co-layout) and Unified S/W. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Update the LED schematic as reference. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young I checked the LED circuit diagram. Please proceed to the next schedule. Thank you. |
Hi Lonnie and Sun, Update the LED board HWDVT. The AW21024/AW21036 LED drivers are different between TI-5024/5036 driver ic. Please see the attached file. Thank you. |
Hi Lonnie and Sun, We are requiring Everlight for LED testing currently. But could you please provide the test plan, such as color and brightness levels as ALT and SKB requires to verify? When Everlight and the confirm our PCBA can be tested, we will arrange to test. Thank you. |
Hi,Fu-chiang Young Firstly, you should find the best similar value when you use new PCBA. Then, please measure each color and brightness using measurement. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Each color? That is too many, there are 255 color and 255 brightness of each R/G/B LEDs. Also there are 2 PCBA to measure as TI and AW driver ICs. Could you define few color with a fixed brightness? That will save more time on measurement. Thank you. |
Hi Lonnie, Our thinking is example: LED(R/G/B)=Color(0~255) X Brightness(fixed) So the test will be LED(R/G/B)= 255 colors with a fixed brightness. But 255 colors are too many, hope to reduce to 3 colors, such as 255/127/64 levels of total 255 levels. The brightness will be the maximum value 255. TI and AW driver IC can compare the different as the color. How about these test as above? Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young We already provide LED operate scenario to your S/W(Sam). Please test colors at described in LED scenario. And find similar color & brightlesss at new PCBA. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Everlight can test wavelength and CIE chart of LED. If the scenario to test, they may not test it. They need to give a RGB value with brightness and get a coordinate to map into CIE chart. So if the operate scenario to measure, the CIE chart will be many coordinate and do not know how to explain the different. We will discuss with SW team for test. Thank you. |
Hi Lonnie, Everlight agrees to help measurement but the measurement of one color needs around 5~10 minutes(includes send commands). So if each color (R/G/B/W) has 255 levels, that will need 21 hours. 255X5minutes=1275 minutes. 1275/60=21 hours Everlight cannot do that. So our suggestion is R/G/B measure 3~5 points with fixed brightness. Then White color fixes at R/G/B=255 max level, and pick 3~5 levels for tuning brightness levels. That will be quick and also can compare the different between TI and AWIN driver ICs. Is it ok as our suggestion? Thank you. |
HI, Fu-chiang Young As I commented, Please check presented at LED scenario. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Upload the files for one of the scenario as boot up when power on. Totally there are 20 scenarios and the boot up scenario has 297 combinations as different color and brightness. Please see the attached file, "ALT_RGB_Brightness -scenario-Bootup.xlsx". Meanwhile upload the current different between TI and AWIN ic at Red LED. Please see the attached file, "ALT_TI_Awinic_Brightness_difference.xlsx". This file is show for low level of brightness which will be quite different. The TI IC is logarithmic for brightness control, but AWIN is linear. For colors, the TI and AWIN are the same which are linear. SW River has done some brightness mapping but the current still cannot be changed. Everlight need to measure 5~10 minutes per LED which includes to send commands and equipment tuning. So the boot up scenario has 297 LEDs to measure and will need more than 1485 minutes(24.7549 hours). TI and AWIN 2 PCBA will be double time(49.5 hours). Then there are 20 scenarios need to measure. The measurement will be very long. Meanwhile we has known the different between TI and AWIN at low level of brightness. Does any other suggestion? Thank you. |
Hi Lonnie, Everlight will test on 2/10. The attached file is test points suggestion table(See sheet 2). Because the animations are too many measurement points and will spend very long time. Our suggestion simplifies to 23 points for TI and AWIN PCBA. That will save more time. Thank you. |

Hi Mr. Fu-chiang Young and Mr. Sean Chiang, We discussed LED Driver Aging test on Weekly meeting. Our request was LED Brightness : Keep the brightness during the test. Color : LED color change every 1 sec. for 72Hr. SWAN uses 13 colors for NUGU and status indication. NUGU : blue, Green, Orange, Status : Blue, Green, Red, White Side - Cyan, Orange, Pink, White(it use 2 different colors), yellow I think we should compare the LED Driver output(current) for LED befor and after aging test. Could you check the current value for 13 colors before and after aging test ? We can check the variation of LED Driver output after aging test. Best regards, SuhYoung YOON |

Hi Yoon, Update the LED driver IC aging test. Due to the TW holiday, the aging extends from 72hrs to 164hrs(almost 7 days). The results which before and after aging are the same. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young Could you provide aging test report? Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Update the report with aging test in previous LED test report. Thank you. |
Hi, Fu-chiang Young I have question about your test report. Is aging test conducted at chamber or room temperature? If you conducted room temperature, please test at chamber(Operation high/low temperature cycle) Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, It tested in office, not in chamber. The office is around 25deg-C and running in SH file. Thank you. |
Hi Lonnie, LED 2nd source new design had been completely, so close this issue. If it needs, it will open up. Thank you. |
